The training was aimed at students of Kosovo’s state-run high schools that are interested in undergoing training in media production, media literacy and tackling fake news.

The program aims to nurture young talent by mentoring students in the production of videos, photos and articles in order to achieve the main goal of the activity: to create a path for increased independence, transparency, accountability and civic engagement.

A total of 27 students from the social sciences department of the “Frang Bardhi” high school participated, 20 of whom were women.

At the end of the training session, youngsters pitched their journalistic ideas, which the BIRN team will collect and thoroughly analyse before selecting the articles and other materials that will be published on the online platform KallxoRinia (Kallxo Youth). The production of all of these articles will be overseen by a team of BIRN Kosovo editors.

A total of 25 students from the social sciences department of the “Ahmet Gashi” high school participated, 17 of whom were women.

At the end of the training session, youngsters pitched their journalistic ideas, which the BIRN team will collect and thoroughly analyse before selecting the articles and other materials that will be published on the online platform KallxoRinia (Kallxo Youth). The production of all of these articles will be overseen by a team of BIRN Kosovo editors.

BIRN will hold a total of 10 training sessions at the Social Studies department of high schools from across Kosovo with a total of 200 students, as part of the project.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The training sessions brought together officers from the Kosovo Police and the Interior Ministry, legal and IT officers from Courts and Prosecutors’ Offices, as well as representatives of media and civil society organisations.

Besides being trained on the Redirect Method, the representatives of the aforementioned institutions and organisations were given the opportunity to address obstacles they have faced while working on preventing and countering violent extremism and terrorism, as well as engage on discussions and share best practices from different perspectives.

The content was delivered by Kreshnik Gashi, a certified trainer on the Redirect Method and editor-in-chief at KALLXO.com, and by Labinot Leposhtica, head of the legal office at BIRN Kosovo and court monitoring project manager.

 

There is currently a promising generation of high school students in Kosovo who have the talent, creative ideas and willingness to engage in investigative journalism, but the media lacks a specific platform to provide these students the chance to express their skills through writing and community reporting.

In order to capitalize on the interest in journalism among young people, and in an attempt to plug the gap in the education system, BIRN Kosovo will organize eight (8) additional training sessions for high school students in a program that aims to nurture young talent by mentoring students in the production of videos, photos and articles in order to achieve the main goal of the activity which is to lay the path for increased independence, transparency, accountability and civic engagement.

The training sessions will introduce the students to journalism, including topics like journalistic language and concepts, reporting standards, photography tips, production materials for video content, video editing, investigative journalism, ethics and author’s rights.

At the end of each training session, youngsters from high schools across Kosovo will pitch their journalistic ideas, which the BIRN team will collect and thoroughly analyse before selecting a minimum of 60 video and article ideas that will be published on the online platform KallxoRinia. The production process for all of these articles will be overseen by a team of BIRN Kosovo editors.

Who can apply?

Students attending Social Studies departments at Kosovo’s public high schools of the regions such as: Prishtina, Mitrovica, Prizren, Gorazdveac within the Peja region, Gjakova, Drenas, Malisheva and Rahovec.

The number of participants is limited in each training session due to restrictions preventing the spread of COVID-19. A maximum 25 participants per training will be selected.

Thirrje për aplikim: Trajnim bazik në Gazetari për studentët e shkollave të mesme

BIRN Kosova, në bashkëpunim me Institutin Ndërkombëtar të Medias (IPI) është në kërkim të nxënësve nga shkollat publike të Kosovës të interesuar për të qenë pjesë e trajnimit për prodhim medial dhe shkrim-lexim mediatik si dhe trajtimin e lajmeve të rreme si pjesë e projektit “Solidifikimi i Qëndrueshmërisë së Gazetarëve të Tanishëm dhe të Ardhshëm të Kosovës“, i cili mbështetet nga BE. Në qershor 2021, u mbajtën dy trajnime nga i njëjti program me gjithsej 35 nxënës të shkollave të mesme nga Gjilani dhe Ferizaji.

Aktualisht ekziston një gjeneratë premtuese e nxënësve të shkollave të mesme në Kosovë që kanë talent, ide krijuese dhe gatishmëri për t’u angazhuar në gazetari hulumtuese, mirëpo media nuk ka një platformë specifike për t’u siguruar këtyre studentëve mundësinë për të shprehur aftësitë e tyre përmes shkrimit dhe raportimit lokal.

Me qëllim që të përfitojnë nga interesimi i të rinjve në gazetari, dhe në një përpjekje për të plotësuar boshllëkun në sistemin arsimor, BIRN Kosova do të organizojë tetë (8) seanca trajnimi për nxënës të shkollave të mesme në një program që synon të shtojë talentin e të rinjve duke mentoruar studentët në prodhimin e videove, fotove dhe artikujve në mënyrë që të arrihet qëllimi kryesor i aktivitetit që është vë bazat për rritjen e pavarësisë, transparencës, llogaridhënies dhe angazhimit qytetar.

Sesionet trajnuese do t’i njohin studentët me gazetarinë, duke përfshirë tema si gjuha dhe konceptet gazetareske, standardet e raportimit, këshillat e fotografisë, materialet e prodhimit për përmbajtjen e videos, redaktimi i videos, gazetaria hulumtuese, etika dhe të drejtat e autorit.

Në fund të çdo sesioni trajnimi, të rinjtë nga shkollat e mesme anembanë Kosovës do t’i paraqesin idetë e tyre gazetareske, të cilat ekipi i BIRN do t’i mbledhë dhe do t’i analizojë hollësisht para se ta bëjë përzgjedhjen e një minimumi prej 60 videosh dhe ide shkrimi që do të publikohen në platformën në internet KallxoRinia. Procesi i prodhimit për të gjithë këta artikuj do të mbikëqyret nga një ekip i redaktorëve të BIRN-it në Kosovë.

Kush mund të aplikojë?

Studentët të cilët janë në vijim të drejtimeve shoqërore në shkollat publike të Kosovës  në regjionet si: Prishtina, Mitrovica, Prizreni, Gorazdevci brenda regjionit të Pejës, Gjakova, Drenasi, Malisheva dhe Rahoveci.

Numri i pjesëmarrësve është i kufizuar në çdo sesion trajnimi për shkak të kufizimeve me qëllim të parandalimit të përhapjes së COVID-19.  Do të zgjidhen maksimumi 25 pjesëmarrës për trajnim.

Kao deo projekta koji podržava EU „Učvršćivanje pozicija sadašnjih i budućih novinara na Kosovu“, BIRN Kosovo poziva učenike kosovskih javnih srednjih škola zainteresovanih za obuku iz medijske produkcije, medijske pismenosti i borbe protiv lažnih vesti. U junu 2021. su održane dve obuke iz istog programa sa ukupno 35 učenika srednjih škola iz Gnjilana i Uroševca.

Trenutno na Kosovu postoji perspektivna generacija srednjoškolaca koji imaju talenat, kreativne ideje i volju da se bave istraživačkim novinarstvom, ali medijima nedostaje posebna platforma koja bi ovim učenicima pružila priliku da iskažu svoje veštine pisanjem i izveštavanjem iz zajednice.

Kako bi iskoristio interesovanje za novinarstvo među mladima i u pokušaju da prevaziđe jaz u obrazovnom sistemu, BIRN Kosovo će organizovati dodatnih osam (8) treninga za srednjoškolce u programu koji ima za cilj negovanje mladih talenata kroz mentorisanje učenika u video produkciji, fotografiji i člancima kako bi se postigao glavni cilj aktivnosti, a to je otvaranje puta za veću nezavisnost, transparentnost, odgovornost i građanski angažman.

Treninzi će učenike upoznati sa novinarstvom, uključujući teme poput novinarskog jezika i koncepata, standarda izveštavanja, saveta za fotografiju, produkciju materijala za video sadržaje, video montažu, istraživačko novinarstvo, etiku i autorska prava.

Na kraju svakog treninga, mladi iz srednjih škola širom Kosova će predstaviti svoje novinarske ideje koje će BIRN-ova ekipa prikupiti i detaljno analizirati pre nego što odabere najmanje 60 ideja za video i članke koji će biti objavljeni na on-line platformi KallxoRinia. Proces produkcije svih ovih članaka će nadgledati tim urednika BIRN Kosovo.

Ko se može prijaviti?

Učenici koji pohađaju odeljenja za društvene nauke u kosovskim javnim srednjim školama u regionima kao što su: Priština, Mitrovica, Prizren, Goraždveac u pećkom regionu, Đakovica, Glogovac, Mališevo i Orahovac.

Broj učesnika na svakom treningu je ograničen zbog restrikcija kojima se sprečava širenje COVID-19. Biće izabrano najviše 25 učesnika po treningu.

The US State Department has listed BIRN Kosovo and its director Jeta Xharra as a resource for reporting corruption in a report on the global investment climate in 2021. In 2012, BIRN and Internews Kosova established the KALLXO.com  platform for reporting corruption and other irregularities in the provision of public services.

The report states that despite Kosovo Government’s efforts to combat the widespread corruption in Kosovo, it has resulted in unsuccessful attempts to properly investigate, imprison and punish the corrupted individuals in Kosovo.

The US State Department lists the Anti-Corruption Agency and the Office of the Auditor General as government agencies mandated to fight corruption. Other resources for reporting corruption listed by the State Department for 2021 are Shaip Havolli, the director of the Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency, the Ombudsperson Naim Qelaj and Ismet Kryeziu, the director of the Kosovo Democratic Institute/Transparency International.

 

 

Six journalists who received the awards exposed important information about illegal gambling, violation of anti-monopoly rules and fraud with college accreditations and degrees.

The awards were presented by the EU Special Representative to Kosovo, Ambassador Tomas Szuyong who noted that a free media and independent journalism is essential for any democratic society, and by Xhelal Neziri, the Head of Jury who made a summary of the jury decision and commented on the relevance of all awarded stories, noting how “investigative journalists have been a great contribution to the democracy of this country, because transparency is the foundation of a functioning democratic state”.

This year’s jury consisted of Neziri, as Head of Jury and jury members Edis Agani and Mustafa Canka.

Jeta Xharra and Visar Prebreza came in first place for the best investigative story, “Unclean energy: A Kosovar who owned the sun”, about a Kosovo businessman who stands behind six companies registered in Malta, reaping millions of euros from the sale of solar energy – in violation of anti-monopoly rules.

The BIRN investigation found out that Blerim Devolli receives incentives to produce more than half of the total solar energy used in Kosovo. The six-month investigation uncovered hidden companies, owned by a single person, through which solar energy is produced, and resulted in the country’s Anti-Corruption Agency opening an investigation based on BIRN’s inquiries.

Xharra, in her acceptance speech, emphasized the importance of those in government as well as citizens with integrity being willing to fight corruption and wrongdoing.

The second award, for a story of exceptional quality, went to Besa Kalaja and Besnik Boletini whose article “Victims of private colleges” addressed the manipulation that has been done for years and is still being done by private colleges in Kosovo.

Their research found that thousands of students have completed their studies and graduated from private colleges, but have not legally graduated because the colleges did not obtain all the right accreditation or get registered at the Ministry of Education. Due to this, many students lost their right to scholarships abroad.

Finally, a story about illegal gambling in a village of Karaçeva by Kreshnik Gashi and Adelina Ahmeti won third prize as a story of exceptional quality.

After the adoption of a law that made gambling illegal in Kosovo, KALLXO.com received information that gambling was being conducted illegally in different locations. This information revealed that a neighbourhood had been set up in the village of Karaçeva where facilities functioned as casinos.

In cooperation with the KALLXO.com team, prosecutor Rozelida Manastiri started an investigation which lasted about 14 months. The series, “Crime in Karaçeva 1&2”, involved several months of investigation resulting in the capture and arrest of more than 50 people in connection with the Karaçeva case.

The EU Award for Investigative Journalism is presented annually in six Western Balkan countries and Turkey for exceptional investigations published in the previous year.

The purpose of the dialogue meetings was to promote the best energy efficiency and environmental practices with young people from Peja and Gjakova. Throughout the dialogue meetings, advocacy work of the partners and other environmental NGOs in Kosovo were discussed, as were the best practices for reducing environmental degradation.

The meetings started off with ERA Group’s Executive Director Fatos Lajqi, who imparted on the groups the importance of Article 52 of the Kosovo Constitution, which states: “Nature, biodiversity, the environment and national inheritance are each and every citizen’s responsibility.”

The second guest at the meetings was Fatos Katallozi from Outdoor Kosova, who covered some of Kosovo’s most pressing environmental issues, focusing particularly on energy efficiency and specific examples of river and environmental protection.

Meanwhile, the third session of each meeting was presented by BIRN Kosovo’s Managing Editor Visar Prebreza, who taught the youngsters from Peja and Gjakova on the basics of environmental investigative journalism, as well as the tools available to advocate for the environment through journalism.

After the talks, participants worked in groups and had the chance to exchange opportunities and ideas on advocating towards a cleaner and better protected environment. They also presented the most pressing environmental issues in their communities and offered solutions and advocacy tools to tackle them.

 The two youth dialogue meetings were organized as part of Green Energy Days 2021, an event held as part of the Europeanisation of Kosovo’s Environmental Agenda project, which is funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo. Green Energy Days will take place until 7 July, 2021.

Ekipi i “Evropianizimi i agjendës mjedisore të Kosovës” organizon takime dialogu me të rinjtë nga Peja dhe Gjakova

Më 29 dhe 30 qershor, ERA Group në partneritet me BIRN Kosovën, CEE Bankwatch dhe TV Mrezhën, ka organizuar dy takime dialogu me të rinj nga komuna e Pejës dhe Gjakovës në kuadër të Javës së Energjisë së Gjelbër 2021.

Qëllimi i këtyre takimeve dialogu është të promovohen praktikat më të mira të efiçiencës së energjisë dhe ambientit nga të rinjtë nga Peja dhe Gjakova.

Takimet filluan me prezantimin e drejtorit ekzekutiv të ERA Group, Fatos Lajqi, të nenit 52 të Kushtetutës së Republikës së Kosovës i cili thotë që: “Natyra dhe biodiversiteti, mjedisi jetësor dhe trashëgimia kombëtare, janë përgjegjësi për secilin”.

Gjatë diskutimit u prezantuan arritjet kryesore të partnerëve të projektit dhe OJQ-ve bashkëpunuese mbi mbrojtjen e ambientit dhe praktikat më të mira për uljen e dëmeve mjedisore.

I ftuari i dytë në këto takime ishte Fatos Katallozi nga Outdoor Kosova, i cili diskutoi për çështje më të ngutshme mbi ambientin lidhur me efiçiencën e energjisë.

Shembuj praktikë të mbrojtjes dhe ruajtjes së energjisë, lumenjve dhe ambientit në tërësi u shpalosën në këto takime.

Sesioni i fundit u zhvillua nga redaktori menaxhues i BIRN Kosova, Visar Prebreza, i cili i mësoi të rinjtë nga Peja dhe Gjakova bazat e gazetarisë hulumtuese në fushën e ambientit si dhe mjetet gazetareske për të avokuar drejt një ambienti të pastër përmes gazetarisë hulumtuese.

Pas diskutimit nga të ftuarit në takime, pjesëmarrësit zhvilluan punë në grupe, ku patën mundësitë të shkëmbejnë informata dhe ide mbi avokimin ndaj mbrotjes së mjedisit si dhe përgatitën prezantime me problemet më të ngutshme mjedisore në komunitetet e tyrë, të cilat më pas i prezantuan dhe gjetën zgjidhje për to.

Ky aktivitet u organizua si pjesë e aktivitetit “Ditët e Energjisë së Gjelbër 2021”, aktivitet brenda projektit të financuar nga Zyra e Bashkimit Evropian në Kosovë, “Evropianizimi i agjendës mjedisore të Kosovës”. “Ditët e Energjisë së Gjelbër” do të zgjasin deri më 7 korrik 2021.

Tim na projektu „Evropeizacija kosovske agende za zaštitu životne sredine” organizuje sastanke za dijalog sa mladima iz Peći i Đakovice

Dana 29. i 30. juna, ERA Group je u partnerstvu sa BIRN Kosovo, CEE Bankwatch, i TV Mrežom, organizovala dva sastanka dijaloga sa mladima iz Peći i Đakovice, kao deo Nedelje zelene energije 2021.

Cilj ovih sastanaka bio je da se promovišu najbolje prakse energetske efikasnosti i zaštite životne sredine od strane mladih iz Peći i Đakovice.

Sastanci su počeli prezentacijom izvršnog direktora ERA Group – Fatosa Ljajći, koji je predstavio član 52 Ustava Republike Kosovo, koji glasi: „Priroda i biodiverzitet, životna sredina i nacionalno nasleđe su obaveza svakog lica.” Tokom diskusije su predstavljena glavna dostignuća partnera na projektu i NVO-a koji sarađuju na njemu u vezi sa zaštitom životne sredine i najboljim praksama za smanjenje štete pričinjene životnoj sredini.

Drugi pozvani na ovaj sastanak bio je Fatos Katalozi iz Outdoor Kosova koji se osvrnuo na goruća pitanja kada je reč o životnoj sredini u vezi sa energetskom efikasnošću; praktične primere zaštite i očuvanja energije, reka i životne sredine u celosti, koji su predstavljeni na ovim sastancima.

Poslednju sesiju vodio je glavni i odgovorni urednik BIRN Kosovo – Visar Prebreza koji je mlade iz Peći i Đakovice naučio nešto više o osnovama istraživačkog novinarstva o životnoj sredini kao i o novinarskim sredstvima za zagovaranje čiste životne sredine putem istraživačkog novinarstva.

Nakon izlaganja, učesnici su radili u grupama gde su imali priliku da razmene informacije i ideje o zagovaranju zaštite životne sredine i pripremili prezentacije o gorućim ekološkim problemima u njihovim zajednicama, nakon čega su predstavljena i rešenja na iste.

Ova aktivnost organizovana je kao deo aktivnosti „Dani zelene energije 2021”, kao deo projekta koji finansira Kancelarija Evropske unije na Kosovu, „Evropeizacija kosovske agende za zaštitu životne sredine”. „Dani zelene energije”, trajaće do 7. jula 2021.

 

The first prize of 1,000 euros was awarded to Valjeta Kosumi and Visar Krasniqi, two journalists from Radio Television of Kosovo that produced a five-part series of documentaries titled Our Home, which addresses issues like global warming, air pollution, river pollution, deforestation and waste management.

The second prize of 800 euros was awarded to Besnik Boletini and Qëndrim Bunjaku from the Çohu NGO for their in-depth investigation into air pollution titled Air – A Mortal Threat. The story explores the main issues surrounding air pollution in Kosovo, identifying its main causes, and its effects on public health.

Last but not least, the third prize of 500 euros was awarded to Sanie Jusufi from KOHA for her three-part story Abuse of Water, which examines Kosovo’s water capacities, highlighting the lack of clean water and the severe problems with river pollution.

The awards were presented by the European Union Special Representative for Kosovo, Mr. Tomas Szunyog. During his speech, Mr. Szunyog emphasized the importance of the Europeanisation of Kosovo’s Environmental Agenda project, mainly because of its aim of encouraging “the proactive participation of Civil Society in Kosovo in policy and decision making, particularly on issues relating to energy efficiency, the environment and public health, thereby bringing Kosovo’s environmental policies closer to the EU acquis.”

Once the awards were presented, the winners of the competition held a panel discussion, during which they provided the audience with greater insight into their findings. The prizes were awarded as part of the Europeanisation of Kosovo’s Environmental Agenda project, which is funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo.

This ceremony was organized as part of Green Energy Days 2021, an event hosted as part of the Europeanization of Kosovo’s Environmental Agenda project, which is funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo. Green Energy Days took place from 28 June until 7 July, 2021.

Ekipi i projektit Evropianizimi i Agjendës Mjedisore të Kosovës mban ceremoninë e ndarjes së çmimeve për gazetarinë më të mirë mjedisore

Më 7 korrik, ekipi i projektit Europianizimi i Agjendës Mjedisore të Kosovës, i cili përbëhet nga ‘BIRN Kosova’, ‘CEE Bankwatch’, ‘Grupi ERA’ dhe ‘TV Mrezha’, mbajti një ceremoni të ndarjes së çmimeve për tri storjet më të mira gazetareske mbi efikasitetin e energjisë, mbrojtjen e mjedisit, ndryshimet klimatike dhe ndikimet e mjedisit në shëndetin publik të botuara mes marsit 2020 dhe shkurtit 2021.

Çmimi i parë prej 1,000 eurosh iu nda Valjeta Kosumit dhe Visar Krasniqit, dy gazetarë nga Radio Televizioni i Kosovës që kanë përgatitur një seri me pesë pjesë të dokumentarëve me titull ‘Shtëpia Jonë’, e cila adreson çështje si ngrohja globale, ndotja e ajrit, ndotja e lumenjve, shpyllëzimi dhe menaxhimi i mbeturinave.

Çmimi i dytë prej 800 eurosh iu nda Besnik Boletinit dhe Qëndrim Bunjakut nga OJQ-ja ‘Çohu’ për hulumtimin e tyre të thelluar mbi ndotjen e ajrit me titull ‘Ajri kërcënim për jetën’. Kjo storje eksploron çështjet kryesore që lidhen me ndotjen e ajrit në Kosovë, duke identifikuar shkaqet e saj kryesore dhe efektet e saj në shëndetin publik.

E fundit por jo më pak e rëndësishmja, çmimi i tretë prej 500 eurosh iu nda Sanie Jusufit nga ‘KOHA’ për storjen e saj me tri pjesë ‘Keqpërdorimi i Ujit’, e cila shqyrton kapacitetet ujore të Kosovës, duke theksuar mungesën e ujit të pastër dhe problemet e mëdha me ndotjen e lumenjve.

Çmimet u ndanë nga Përfaqësuesi Special i Bashkimit Evropian për Kosovën, Z. Tomas Szunyog. Gjatë fjalës së tij, Z. Szunyog theksoi rëndësinë projektit ‘Evropianizimi i Agjendës Mjedisore të Kosovës’, kryesisht për shkak të qëllimit të tij për të inkurajuar “pjesëmarrjen proaktive të Shoqërisë Civile në Kosovë në krijimin e politikave dhe vendimmarrje, veçanërisht për çështjet që lidhen me efiçencën e energjisë, mjedisin dhe shëndetin publik, duke sjellë politikat mjedisore të Kosovës më afër legjislacionit të BE-së”.

Pas ndarjes së çmimeve, fituesit e konkursit zhvilluan një diskutim në panel, gjatë të cilit ata i ofruan audiencës informata më të hollësishme lidhur me gjetjet e tyre. Çmimet u ndanë si pjesë e projektit ‘Evropianizimi i Agjendës Mjedisore të Kosovës’, i cili financohet nga Zyra e Bashkimit Evropian në Kosovë.

Kjo ceremoni u organizua si pjesë e aktivitetit “Ditët e Energjisë së Gjelbër 2021”, aktivitet brenda projektit të financuar nga Zyra e Bashkimit Evropian në Kosovë, “Evropianizimi i Agjendës Mjedisore të Kosovës”. Aktiviteti “Ditët e Energjisë së Gjelbër 2021” filloi më 28 qershor dhe u përmbyll më 7 korrik 2021.

Tim na projektu Evropeizacija kosovske agende za zaštitu životnu sredinu, koji čine BIRN Kosovo, CEE Bankwatch, ERA Group  i TV Mreža održao je svečanost uručivanja nagrada za tri najbolje novinarske priče o energetskoj efikasnosti, zaštiti životne sredine, klimatskim promenama i uticajima životne sredine na javno zdravlje, objavljene između marta 2020. i februara 2021.

Prva nagrada od 1.000 evra dodeljena je Valjeti Kosumi i Visaru Krasnićiju, dvoma novinarima Radio-televizije Kosova koji su proizveli petodelnu seriju dokumentarnih filmova pod nazivom „Naš dom“, koji se bave pitanjima poput globalnog zagrevanja, zagađenja vazduha, zagađenja reka, seče šuma i upravljanja otpadom.

Drugu nagradu od 800 evra dobili su Besnik Boljetini i Ćendrim Bunjaku iz nevladine organizacije    „Çohu “za njihovo detaljno istraživanje zagađenja vazduha pod nazivom Vazduh – pretnja po život. Priča istražuje glavna pitanja vezana za zagađenje vazduha na Kosovu, identifikujući njihove glavne uzroke i posledice po javno zdravlje.

Na kraju, ali ne najmanje važno, treća nagrada od 500 evra dodeljena je Sanie Jusufi iz KOHE za njenu trodelnu priču pod nazivom „Zloupotreba vode“, koja ispituje vodne kapacitete Kosova, ističući nedostatak čiste vode i ozbiljne probleme sa zagađenjem reka.

Nagrade je uručio specijalni predstavnik Evropske unije za Kosovo, g. Tomas Szunyog. Tokom svog govora, g. Szunyog je naglasio važnost projekta Evropeizacija kosovske agende za zaštitu životne sredine, uglavnom zbog njegovog cilja da podstakne „proaktivno učešće građanskog društva na Kosovu u praktičnoj politici i donošenju odluka, posebno o pitanjima koja se odnose na energetsku efikasnost, životnu sredinu i javno zdravlje, približavajući time kosovske praktične politike za zaštitu životne sredine pravnim tekovinama EU “.

Nakon što su uručene nagrade, pobednici konkursa održali su panel diskusiju tokom koje su publici pružili bolji uvid u svoja otkrića. Ove nagrade su dodeljene u okviru projekta Evropeizacija kosovske agende za zaštitu životne sredine koji finansira Kancelarija Evropske unije na Kosovu.

Ova ceremonija organizovana je kao deo „Dana zelene energije 2021”, pod okriljem projekta „Evropeizacija kosovske agende za zaštitu životne sredine“. „Dani zelene energije 2021“ započeli su 28. juna i trajali do 7. jula 2021.

 

The bike tour took place in the city of Peja and featured 15 participants. It started at Haxhi Zeka Mill, from where the cyclists set off on a tour across the city of Peja with the final destination the Peja municipal building, where the cyclists submitted a request to build and maintain cycling trails.

As well as filing this request, the tour also aimed to promote eco-friendly transportation that enhances air quality and the well-being of Kosovo citizens. Throughout the activity, the Kosovo Police ensured the cyclists’ safety by regulating traffic.

The bike tour lasted 40 minutes, by the end of which the participants were hopeful that municipal officials would address their request to build and maintain cycling trails and that they had raised awareness about pursuing an eco-friendly lifestyle.

This activity was organized as part of Green Energy Days 2021, an event hosted as part of the Europeanisation of Kosovo’s Environmental Agenda project that is funded by the European Union Office in Kosovo. Green Energy Days took place from 28 June until 7 July 2021.

Turneu me Biçikleta në Pejë si Aktivitet Vetëdijesimi për Ajrin e Pastër dhe Mirëmbajtjen e Shtigjeve të Çiklizmit

Më 6 korrik, Grupi ERA, në partneritet me BIRN Kosova, CEE Bankwatch dhe TV Mreza, organizoi Turneun me Biçikleta të Veprimit Kolektiv Rinor.

Turneu u mbajt si pjesë e Ditëve të Energjisë së Gjelbër 2021 që kanë filluar nga 28 qershori dhe ka zgjatur deri më 7 korrik 2021.

Turneu me biçikleta u zhvillua në qytetin e Pejës dhe morën pjesë 15 pjesëmarrës. Ai filloi nga Mulliri i Haxhi Zekës, nga ku çiklistët u nisën për një turne nëpër qytetin e Pejës me destinacionin përfundimtar ndërtesën komunale të Pejës, ku çiklistët paraqitën një kërkesë për ndërtimin dhe mirëmbajtjen e shtigjeve të çiklizmit.

Përveç paraqitjes së kësaj kërkese, turneu gjithashtu synoi të promovojë transportin eko-miqësor që rrit cilësinë e ajrit dhe mirëqenien e qytetarëve të Kosovës. Gjatë gjithë këtij aktiviteti, Policia e Kosovës ofroi sigurinë e çiklistëve duke rregulluar trafikun.

Turneu me biçikleta zgjati 40 minuta, në fund të të cilit pjesëmarrësit shfaqën shpresën që zyrtarët komunalë do të trajtonin kërkesën e tyre për të ndërtuar dhe mirëmbajtur shtigje çiklizmi dhe se ata kishin rritur ndërgjegjësimin për ndjekjen e një stili eko-miqësor të jetës.

Ky aktivitet u organizua si pjesë e Ditëve të Energjisë së Gjelbër 2021, ngjarje kjo e organizuar si pjesë e projektit të Evropianizimit të Agjendës Mjedisore të Kosovës që financohet nga Zyra e Bashkimit Evropian në Kosovë.

Kolektivna akcija mladih na Danima zelene energije 2021.

ERA grupa, u partnerstvu sa BIRN Kosovo, CEE Bankwatch  i TV Mreža održala je 6. jula, Omladinsku kolektivnu biciklističku vožnju koja je organizovana u okviru Dani zelene energije 2021.

Biciklistička vožnja održana je u gradu Peći i na njoj je učestvovalo 15 učesnika. Počela je kod  Hadži Zekinog mlina, odakle su biciklisti krenuli u obilazak grada Peći sa krajnjim odredištem do zgrade Opštine Peć, gde su biciklisti podneli zahtev za izgradnju i održavanje biciklističkih staza.

Pored podnošenja ovog zahteva, obilazak je imao za cilj i promovisanje ekološkog prevoza koji poboljšava kvalitet vazduha i dobrobit građana Kosova. Tokom cele aktivnosti, Policija Kosova je obezbeđivala bezbednost biciklista regulisanjem saobraćaja.

Biciklistička vožnja trajala je 40 minuta, na kraju koje su se učesnici nadali da će opštinski službenici uzeti u razmatranje  njihov zahtev za izgradnju i održavanje biciklističkih staza i da su podigli svest o vođenju ekološkog načina života.

Ova aktivnost je organizovana u okviru Dani zelene energije 2021, događaja koji je domaćin u okviru projekta Evropeizacije kosovske agende za zaštitu životnu sredine koji finansira Kancelarija Evropske unije na Kosovu. Dani zelene energije održavali su se od 28. juna do 7. jula 2021.

 

The roundtable discussion brought together Kreshnik Gashi, Editor in Chief at KALLXO.com, Mensur Hoti, the Director of the Department for Public Safety at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and representatives of media outlets from across Kosovo.

It focused on the problems that have arisen when reporting on violent extremism and terrorism in Kosovo, including the importance of ethical reporting, media outlets’ hesitation to report on these matters, and how to fight narratives in the battle against violent extremism and terrorism and raise public awareness instead of spreading fear, hatred and stigmatisation.

The discussion also touched on the rehabilitation and reintegration process of returnees to Kosovo from the conflict zones in Syria and Iraq, which has been implemented by the Department for Public Safety at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Representatives from media outlets in Kosovo were also given the opportunity to address obstacles they have faced while reporting on violent extremism and terrorism situations and come up with solutions that will help accurately inform public opinion.

The discussion was organised as part of the “Resilient Community Program”, a project that is funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund.
