BIRN Bosnia and Herzegovina People

Denis Dzidic is the Director of the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIRN BiH), a Sarajevo-based media NGO specializing in reporting on transitional justice, corruption, human rights, and security.

Dzana joined the BIRN team in May 2013. She has been working as a journalist since 2005 after beginning her career as a reporter for Radio Free Europe. Since December 2019, she has been Deputy Editor in BIRN BiH.

Emina joined BIRN BiH’s Detektor team in March 2014. She previously worked as a web archive assistant and intern at BIRN BiH.

Enes joined BIRN BiH in May 2022 as a journalist/investigator. He is based in BIRN BiH’s Sarajevo office providing support to various projects.

Haris has worked with BIRN Bosnia and Herzegovina since September 2016.

Irvin joined Balkan Investigative Reporting Network in Bosnia, BIRN BiH, in December 2020.

Katarina has been working on projects promoting peacebuilding and reconciliation in the Balkans since 2010. She has expertise in transitional justice topics in Serbia and Bosnia, having monitored and actively participated in implementation of over 20 TJ related projects.

Lamija joined Detektor (BIRN BiH) in January 2014 as a web archive assistant and intern. As of January 2015, she is working as a journalist for Detektor.

Mirza Halilcevic joined the BIRN BiH team in June 2024 as Project Manager.

Mirza joined BIRN BiH in 2022 as Video Editor.

Mirza joined BIRN BiH in March 2021. He has been a cameraman for 15 years in TV companies in Bosnia.

Nermina Kuloglija-Zolj joined BIRN BiH in August 2019. For the last four years, she has been researching extremism, terrorism, genocide denial and corruption.

Nino joined Detektor (BIRN BiH) in 2022 as a journalist. He is based in the Sarajevo office providing support to regional operations.

Selma joined Detektor (BIRN BiH) team in November 2024 as a journalist and court monitor.

Semir Mujkic is managing editor for BIRN Bosnia and Herzegovina. He joined BIRN in April 2017 and has worked as a journalist and deputy editor for BIRN BiH website Detektor.ba where he is managing editor as of October 2019.
