The mandate of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) was established by the Security Council in its resolution 1244 (1999). The Mission is mandated to help ensure conditions for a peaceful and normal life for all inhabitants of Kosovo and advance regional stability in the Western Balkans. The priorities of the Mission remain to promote security, stability and respect for human rights in Kosovo and in the region.

US Embassy in Albania

DONOR
The US Embassy in Tirana is the official representation of the United States in Albania. It is responsible for developing and maintaining relations between the United States and Albania.

USAID – Kosovo

DONOR
USAID's projects in Kosovo focus on economic growth, democracy, and governance to help achieve lasting security, prosperity and stability. USAID believes that improved education, economic opportunities and quality of life increase the confidence of Kosovo Serbs that they have a viable future in Kosovo. USAID’s community-based programs have rehabilitated and built community infrastructure, engaged young people and supported businesses in minority areas of Kosovo. Furthermore, USAID programs have also focused on strengthening rule-of-law, good governance, decentralization and democracy.

Vreme

PARTNER
A weekly magazine, established in 1990 in Serbia by a group of liberal intellectuals and journalists, most of Vreme’s original staff were journalists from Politika newspaper and NIN magazine.

Youth Initiative for Human Rights (YIHR)

PARTNER
YIHR was formed in 2003  in order to enhance youth participation in the democratisation of the society and empowerment of the rule of law through the process of facing the past and establishing new, progressive connections in the post-conflict region of the former Yugoslavia
