Jovana Prusina joined BIRN in 2018 as the Programme Coordinator for Balkan Transitional Justice (BTJ).

Based in Belgrade, Jovana is responsible for managing and coordinating all regional activities within BTJ programme, which focuses on building the capacities of local media and civil society in order to promote reconciliation and intercultural dialogue.

Prior to joining BIRN, Jovana worked as a project assistant at the Youth Initiative for Human Rights.

Jovana has a BA degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade.

She attended the School of Transitional Justice organised by the Humanitarian Law Center in 2017, and the Peace and Conflict Summer Programme at the Rochester Institute of Technology Kosovo in 2015.

Jovana speaks Serbian and English, and has basic knowledge of French.
