Elite Kosovo Police Officer Shot Dead
30 08 2007 Pristina _ An off-duty member of Kosovo Police Service, KPS, was shot to death Thursday in Kosovo’s capital Pristina, police officials confirmed.
“The incident happened around 15:45 hours and a KPS member has died,” KPS spokesman Veton Elshani told Balkan Insight. “At this time, the victim was not on duty.”
Elshani wasn’t able to confirm if there are any arrests or suspects in the case.
A source within KPS told Balkan Insight that the victim was Triumf Riza, a member of KPS close protection unit. The unit is an elite force that protects VIPs.
The source said Riza had “got into trouble with a high-profile gang” and been involved in at least two previous shooting incidents with the gang. It was unclear whether Riza’s death might have been connected to the previous shootings.
“Riza was a very professional officer, he was brave and he did his job in very efficient way,” the KPS source said.
Riza was said to be dating Kosovo pop star Adelina Ismajli. It remains unclear whether Riza`s murder was due to professional or personal motives.

it is very sad to hear that the biggest albanian bodybuilder was killed by sekiraqas people, enver had no balls against triumf face to face he had to use scorpion gun behind triumfs back but enver will not live very long just wait and see he will be minced meat very soon. It makes me wonder how Kosovo Albanans function? we always seem to have good things to say only after people pass away. Learning that Triumf was shot to death has deeply touched me but on the other hand I also think that he took the justice a little to much on his own hands as a police officer. An example of this was ilustrated at the Swiss Casino when Enver and him were shooting at each other while Triumf was not on duty as a police officer. Personally i think that this is a personal revenge rather than something against our "lovely" KPS. Anyways, its kind of the past now. Rest in Peace.

In order to capture the top 1 gang and criminal in Kosova- his whole family should get arrested and only then the biggest idiot will either give up himself or the family will tell where he is and then Kosova should kick the whole family outside of Albanian borders. Lets see if they have courage to act brave somewhere else where police has no mercy and will beat you a.. daily just for fun. We still remember years around 1997-1998. Where was this gang then- oh yes of course they were hidding in the mice hole praying to survive.

Without justice there can be no rules. Without just rules there is anarchy, in which everyone's survival is threatened. Thus just rules and equitable enforcement are the primary responsibilities of the State.

I've been in Kosovo and I've seen and met lots of hones and nice people. I am sorry to say that, but you have to clean your house from so called UCK head people. They were not fighters, they were thieves and criminals. Thachi and Ramush are the top ones, follow by head of Police and former TMK. I was there 3 times with US military and your country will fail if you don't clean it from these criminals. They are having little support from EU and from some US, but you have to know that if you clean them, then the world will support you again.
