Since 2004, Musliu has worked as a journalist for print media in Kosovo.
After an initial period with “Pavaresia” he moved to the daily “Lajm”, where he worked for four years.
While
at Lajm, Betim reported on issues related to Justice in Kosovo. His
investigations have been recorded in the files of the Kosovo Public
Prosecutor’s Office and have been responsible for starting official
investigations into corruption in the judicial system, which have
resulted in the dismissal of judges and senior Justice Ministry
officials.
Musliu has participated in IREX and USAID training
courses on covering subjects such as human trafficking, and the work of
the courts, the prosecutors, and the police.
He is studying Law and Journalism at the University of Pristina.
He joined BIRN at the beginning of 2008. He is a journalist on the “Life in Kosovo” current affairs TV debate.

At the beginning of 2010 BIRN network published Digging Deeper - A Guide for Investigative Journalists in the Balkans, written in cooperation with Sheila Coronel, Director of the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism and professor of professional practice at Columbia University, New York.
