Merima Husejnovic joined BIRN's Justice Report team in 2006 with the first group of interns from the Journalism University of Sarajevo. After a successful completion of internship Merima became a part-time reporter covering war crimes trials and victims rights for BIRN BiH. Having completed her degree, Merima became a full-time reporter with Justice Report in the summer of 2007. She gained valuable radio and television experience from volunteering and internships with the eFM radio in Sarajevo and state television’s “Posteno Govoreci” current affairs programme. At the beginning of 2010 BIRN network published Digging Deeper - A Guide for Investigative Journalists in the Balkans, written in cooperation with Sheila Coronel, Director of the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism and professor of professional practice at Columbia University, New York.
